Brandon Evans launches new scripted venture

Industry veteran Brandon Evans today announced the launch of Brick Lane Pictures, a new scripted film and television production company based in Dublin and Los Angeles. Evans will serve as President & CEO, and Partner in the new venture. 

The company will focus on developing international co-productions and contemporary themed dramas for the theatrical, streaming and broadcasting markets. 

Commenting on the development, Brandon said: “As an Irishman it’s great to be back home and to have an opportunity to take advantage of the extraordinary opportunities which the Irish industry has to offer. Not just in terms of it’s attractive tax incentives but also the incredible production talent and stunning locations, all of which are rapidly becoming the envy of the global film industry”. 

Evans is launching Brick Lane Pictures in partnership with the international true crime specialists, Peninsula Television, and a number of other private backers. The company is currently working on several film projects, including My Dad's A Famous Movie Star, with producing partner Steve Waterman; Lion's Den, with producing partners Todd and Grant Slater of Slater Brothers Entertainment and director Jesse V. Johnson; and The Threeway, with director Michael Downing. A drama TV series is in advanced development and Evans expects to be able to make announcement about all of these projects shortly.

Evan’s career in North America, Europe, and Asia includes the production and financing of projects like Big Bear – starring Pablo Schreiber, Adam Brody, Tyler Labine (Theatrical, Netflix Worldwide); Bloodsucking Bastards – starring Pedro Pascal (Village Roadshow, Entertainment One, Showtime); Shelby – starring Chevy Chase, Rob Schneider (Anchor Bay, Starz); Pete's Christmas – starring Bruce Dern, Molly Parker (Showtime and Anchor Bay) and Dogtown and Z-Boys – starring Sean Penn (Sony Pictures Classics). Brandon's films have received 13 nominations to date.
